Objetivo To study the influence of analysts’ experience and domain knowledge on the effectiveness of requirements elicitation.
Descripción Analysts' effectiveness was analysed using interviews as the requirements elicitation technique. In the interviews, the experimenter played the role of the customer by answering questions from the experimental subjects (analysts) about two possible problems, one from a known domain and another one from an unknown domain. To measure the effectiveness of consolidation, after some time, the analyst wrote down what he/she remembered from the interview and the number of problem items mentioned by the analyst was measured.
